Hi, I'm Carrie, and here're some things you might need to know.

I just have a lot of thoughts and opinions sometimes. I also have a blog.
These two things together = you guys get to read about my thoughts.
Unless, of course, you choose not to read my blog posts.
That's cool.

My least favorite chore is mopping.
You always think, "Oh yeah, it takes like 5 seconds to mop. Totally not even a big deal." Then you actually start the process. You remember that you have to sweep the floor first. And move those permanent fixtures of your house, like the kitchen table, to do so. When do you EVER move your kitchen table? Never. But it's necessary. If you didn't, how could you sweep up the food that got pushed under your table? (gross, I know, but it happens to all of us)

In addition to my perfectly rational fears of dogs, whales, and oompa loompas, I have a strange, inexplicable aversion to moths.
It's like they're doing their best to fool you into thinking their butterflies. Then they eat your clothes. Ugh.

I watch entirely too much TV.
Seriously. You don't even want to know. I remember once listening to a conversation in class where people were saying "Oh, I don't think our TV is ever on for more than 30 minutes a week." I decided they were lying. My TV is on for WAY longer than that, but like I said, you don't want to know, so I won't give you specifics. But, I will tell you, I'm definitely getting my money's worth out of my Netflix subscription.

My iTunes takes up more gigs than anything else on my compy.
I just like music.

I love teen drama TV/movies/books.
If it's a coming of age, slightly sarcastic look at the teen life in high school, I'm sold. Don't ask me why, but I just love stuff like that. Dawson's Creek? Yes. The O.C. Definitely. Sarah Dessen, bring it on. I watched "Prom" last night. I liked it. I'm just being honest.

I lose things a lot.
Today I lost my parents' trash can for about 15 minutes. I had put it in the living room while mopping. I just couldn't remember.

I like to watch Disney Channel Original Movies, if only to yell at the screen about how dumb they are (
Camp Rock? Aweful. So bad. But I finished it. Sadly).
And sometimes I actually like them.

My right foot just fell asleep.
I hate that.

I wish I didn't have to wear glasses or contacts.
But, I'm too afraid to get lasik. That freaks me out.

I wish I knew how to pogo stick. And tap dance.
Not at the same time, obviously, that would be a train wreck.

If I could eat grapes for every meal for the rest of my life, I'd jump on that.
I love grapes. I always want them. Maybe I'll own a grape farm in the future. That would be awesome.

I'm totally jealous of Tom Haverford's D.J. Roomba.

I wish I had a Roomba so I could do that. (Daisy, you need to do that. NOW)

I also wish I had a trampoline.
Those things are awesome.

Like running a marathon. Only, not the running part.

When we were freshmen, Dana and I had movie nights every week (we didn't have social lives, ok? Obviously that's changed...for at least one of us). Most of these nights started with us discussing what we'd watch and ended with us watching her Clean Flix copy of Zoolander (it was a lot shorter than the normal Zoolander. About an hour shorter). We also planned a lot of marathons. We'd get it into our heads that we'd watch all of the Disney movies we possessed between the two of us, or all of the Will Ferrell movies. We planned a lot of these marathons.

In all the planning we did, and the big talks we had, our marathons usually went downhill. Sure, we'd start our marathon. We'd watch Elf, but then deviate from good ol' Will and pop in Back to the Future.

Except for one glorious night.
The only marathon we ever actually finished.
The one with our good friend
ZAC EFRON
(No, Zacky Zac was not attending, I agree, that would have made the marathon infinitely better.)
Although, taking in the time frame, this picture would probably better depict the night:
For 8 hours, Dana and I basked in his glory. We watched The Derby Stallion, Hairspray, High School Musical, and High School Musical 2 (This was actually quite a feat. It wasn't out on DVD yet, so we had to find it on Tudou. That's how dedicated we were).

So why am I telling you this, nearly 4 years after the fact?
Because, tonight I got the sudden urge to have another night with Zac. Granted, there would be several more movies to add to the mix. High School Musical 3, Me and Orson Welles, 17 Again, and Charlie St. Cloud.
Zac has been slightly busy.

Maybe I'll just go watch HSM and be slightly sated.

AND, speaking of my good friend Zachary, you should all watch this video, because it may be the best piece of cinematography a Disney Channel Original Movie ever achieved. Thank you Kenny Ortega.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is a Dyson.

If it's not Baroque, don't fix it.

That's how she knows

Yeah, I went there.

Africa, or, as I like to call it, DISNEYLAND!

This doesn't have a Disney movie to go with it, it is just really cool.
The Lion King: "I just gotta have a wildebeast!"
Does that tree look familiar to anyone else? THE LION KING!

Cheetahs never prosper.

I just can't wait to be king.
The Jungle Book:
Ho, the aim of our patrol
Is a question rather drollFor to march and drill
Over field and hillIs a military goal!
Is a military goal!
Tarzan: Gorilla. GORILLA.

Now for the Ocean.

Now, Let me tell you, this room gave me the heebie jeebies.
Why?, you ask.
Because of the life sized whale that was hanging from the ceiling.
So terrifying.
But, I couldn't stop looking at it. Or taking pictures of it.

I actually took more than 2, but they didn't turn out that well.

And now for my nephew's favorite joke:
What is a shark's favorite snack
A peanut butter jelly fish!
This eel's face is awesome.
See? So cool. I can't decide if I would name him Flotsam or Jetsom.
You can tell Professor McGonagall that, should she be missing the giant squid, it is in the museum. Hanging from the ceiling.
I finally understood the term "sea lion" when I saw this majestic creature.
And his baby is awfully cute.
This crab made me think of Kathleen. I'm sure she's freaking out right now.

I'm not going to lie, I don't really see the connection between manatees and mermaids.
This is an elephant seal. Kind of an ugly bugger, isn't he.
The female looks more like a rodent of unusual size, though.
This little guy was just so cute, I couldn't handle it.
