Hi, I'm Carrie, and here're some things you might need to know.

I just have a lot of thoughts and opinions sometimes. I also have a blog.
These two things together = you guys get to read about my thoughts.
Unless, of course, you choose not to read my blog posts.
That's cool.

My least favorite chore is mopping.
You always think, "Oh yeah, it takes like 5 seconds to mop. Totally not even a big deal." Then you actually start the process. You remember that you have to sweep the floor first. And move those permanent fixtures of your house, like the kitchen table, to do so. When do you EVER move your kitchen table? Never. But it's necessary. If you didn't, how could you sweep up the food that got pushed under your table? (gross, I know, but it happens to all of us)

In addition to my perfectly rational fears of dogs, whales, and oompa loompas, I have a strange, inexplicable aversion to moths.
It's like they're doing their best to fool you into thinking their butterflies. Then they eat your clothes. Ugh.

I watch entirely too much TV.
Seriously. You don't even want to know. I remember once listening to a conversation in class where people were saying "Oh, I don't think our TV is ever on for more than 30 minutes a week." I decided they were lying. My TV is on for WAY longer than that, but like I said, you don't want to know, so I won't give you specifics. But, I will tell you, I'm definitely getting my money's worth out of my Netflix subscription.

My iTunes takes up more gigs than anything else on my compy.
I just like music.

I love teen drama TV/movies/books.
If it's a coming of age, slightly sarcastic look at the teen life in high school, I'm sold. Don't ask me why, but I just love stuff like that. Dawson's Creek? Yes. The O.C. Definitely. Sarah Dessen, bring it on. I watched "Prom" last night. I liked it. I'm just being honest.

I lose things a lot.
Today I lost my parents' trash can for about 15 minutes. I had put it in the living room while mopping. I just couldn't remember.

I like to watch Disney Channel Original Movies, if only to yell at the screen about how dumb they are (
Camp Rock? Aweful. So bad. But I finished it. Sadly).
And sometimes I actually like them.

My right foot just fell asleep.
I hate that.

I wish I didn't have to wear glasses or contacts.
But, I'm too afraid to get lasik. That freaks me out.

I wish I knew how to pogo stick. And tap dance.
Not at the same time, obviously, that would be a train wreck.

If I could eat grapes for every meal for the rest of my life, I'd jump on that.
I love grapes. I always want them. Maybe I'll own a grape farm in the future. That would be awesome.

I'm totally jealous of Tom Haverford's D.J. Roomba.

I wish I had a Roomba so I could do that. (Daisy, you need to do that. NOW)

I also wish I had a trampoline.
Those things are awesome.

My best fictional friends

Not to be one of those kids who can't think of her own ideas, but I found this today, and I thought, I have some best fictional friends. But, not just gal pals. I'm gonna use some of my best dudes too.
So, here we go. My top 10 best fictional friends.

10.
Princess Bubblegum. Who doesn't want to be friends with her? She has tons of cool stuff that will save you, like sweaters and swords. She also lets you play the hero by being constantly kidnapped by the Ice King. Also, she has a rainicorn and is made completely out of bubble gum.

9.
R2D2. One word: Robot. You get to be best friends with a robot. Who always understands you, and you always understand him, even if you don't speak the same language, so that makes you bilingual. And, he can talk to spaceships. Sweet.

8.
Duckie. Because he loves Otis. And he knows how to steal a girl's heart. Even when he knows that she doesn't in fact love him, but a man who doesn't have a name but a cooking appliance. He will still go to the prom with you.

7.
Summer Roberts. She's small and compact, and although she may be capable of a lot of rage, which sometimes causes blackouts, she's hilarious, loyal, and cares about other people. And she cares about the environment, so she would probably make me care more about the environment.

6.
Rory Gilmore. She has more pop culture references in her head than the Internet. Also, she's really smart. I could borrow her books. She's got great clothes. We could share. I could also be friends with her mom. And have movie nights with them where I gorge myself on slim jims and red vines.

5.
Chuck Bartowsky. He could fix my computer and teach me kung fu. Also, he is very attractive. And, we could watch Star Wars together. With R2D2. Perfect.

4.
Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster. I don't even have to worry about assimilating into their lives. I already use their catch phrases. Whaaaat? Also, it would be amazing to get to be part of Psych. I could be their secretary. I swear, I would be better than Ken, even if I don't know 5 Mandarin words.

3.
Veronica Mars. She is a private eye, solves ongoing murder mysteries about her best friends, is the photographer for her school newspaper, and still has time for her live friends. She also has a dog named "Back Up." I know I don't like dogs, but when your backup's name is Back Up, that's pretty awesome.

2.
Neville Longbottom. I know. Out of all the Harry Potter characters, most people want to be friends with Ron, Harry, and Hermione. However, when I was 11, I'm pretty sure I'd never get to hang out with them. I wasn't cool enough. That's a hard group to break into. The only reason Ginny got in is because Harry needed a love interest. But, I know that I would be friends with Neville. We could have gone through our awkward stages together. Then, we could have dated. Because I love him.

1.
Viola Hastings. She's hilarious. She's also got chutzpa. Who else, besides Shakespearean characters, would dress up like their brother so they can show the world that they can play soccer like a man? She also could probably teach me how to do one of those flip over the soccer ball moves. She does have a life time of knowledge.

For your viewing pleasure (but mostly for Bianca's)

Today it rained.
Pretty hard.
I put my ipod on my "rain" playlist.
It's basically just a playlist with any songs I have that mention or allude to rain.
Don't Rain On My Parade
Fire and Rain
Kiss the Rain
Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head
Who'll Stop The Rain
But the one that's most exciting is No Rain. By Blind Melon.
You may not understand this.
But I know Bianca will.
It was the most exciting, because when this song came on, coupled with the warm rain (almost like California!) I felt like Seth and Ryan in this clip (youtube hates letting me embed this).
It was great.
