A couple of fancy texts for your enjoyment.

I received this one during Sacrament meeting. I almost cried, I was trying so hard not to laugh.
Sometimes, Jeannine and I are really cool
This one just made work so happy today.
So many of my texts are about psych. That's why they're glorious.

Listen

I just think it's awesome to spend the night painting my nails this color:
And watching TV with these fellas.
Boom boom boom... muffins!

Oh, hey, guys. I'm back.

So, I guess I should change the header on my blog, since I'm no longer in Manhattan.
I am now living in Oklahoma, mmmhmm.
BUT! Before I left, I had visitors.
First, Jeannine came to visit me. It was awesome. She came into New York, and we had a blast. We went to see How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
With none other than Mr. Harry Potter, and it was AWESOME! Daniel Radcliffe has found his calling, and it is called Broadway. It was really good. Also, I almost made us miss the show, since I got us lost, and we had to run down 45th street for 3 avenues. But, we made it. Also, it was raining. And this taxi sprayed water all over me. Jerk. But the show was amazing. And we ate fried zucchini that was delicious.
The next day, Jeannine and I went to Serendipity. Have you ever been served something at a restaurant where when they handed it to you, you thought, "this is going to taste good." Then, it exceeds your wildest dreams. Beyond everything.
That's what happened when Jeannine and I ate the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Sundae.
We had a hard time deciding on our dessert, but the Sundae kept calling our names. It said it had "nutty cheese cake." And we wanted that.
So we ate it. Did I mention it had cake? The cheesey kind? It was beautiful.
Sadly, though, our next meal that day was not as good, our sandwich actually looked like a turkey had thrown up on it. And there was no cranberry sauce. NONE!
And we didn't even get the cheesecake.
We also went to lots of fun places, like the American Girl Doll Store (did you know that they have a salon for your dolls? Awesome)
and the NBC Experience Store (Boom boom boom...Muffins! I may have bought a Saved By the Bell calendar) and FAO Schwartz (there was a Muppet section. An entire section. Whaaaaat?)
Then, she sadly had to go back to Oklahoma. And her flight left way late, but she had to be at the stupid airport for 4 stupid extra hours. Instead of staying at my house.
But, the weekend was amazing. I loved every second of it. Even the gross turkey ones at Carnegie Deli.

Then my mom, Mary Anderson and Ginger Myers came to visit. We stayed in Soho, right down the street from Little Italy and China Town. (Did you know they sell buckets of live frogs there? Disgusto) We walked the Brooklyn Bridge, wandered Central Park, and basically walked all over Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn. It was amazing.
We ate a ton of great food. That's what happens when you stay in Little Italy. There's a lot of Italian food (a shocking lack of pizza, though).
Also, there was a hurricane. We had to get my stuff out of my apartment early, since my apartment was in an evacuation zone. The cab driver taking us from the Upper East Side to Soho was the creepiest man I've ever met. He actually offered to sell my mom to Africa to give money to his family. I know you may think he was joking, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't. I think he actually wanted to ship my mom and all of my stuff to Africa. It was creepy town.
But, we weathered the storm, and did not die. And we actually made it home safely.

So, now I'm in Oklahoma. Woohoo.
This is the statue at the beginning of Newsies. I found it.

My best fictional friends

Not to be one of those kids who can't think of her own ideas, but I found this today, and I thought, I have some best fictional friends. But, not just gal pals. I'm gonna use some of my best dudes too.
So, here we go. My top 10 best fictional friends.

10.
Princess Bubblegum. Who doesn't want to be friends with her? She has tons of cool stuff that will save you, like sweaters and swords. She also lets you play the hero by being constantly kidnapped by the Ice King. Also, she has a rainicorn and is made completely out of bubble gum.

9.
R2D2. One word: Robot. You get to be best friends with a robot. Who always understands you, and you always understand him, even if you don't speak the same language, so that makes you bilingual. And, he can talk to spaceships. Sweet.

8.
Duckie. Because he loves Otis. And he knows how to steal a girl's heart. Even when he knows that she doesn't in fact love him, but a man who doesn't have a name but a cooking appliance. He will still go to the prom with you.

7.
Summer Roberts. She's small and compact, and although she may be capable of a lot of rage, which sometimes causes blackouts, she's hilarious, loyal, and cares about other people. And she cares about the environment, so she would probably make me care more about the environment.

6.
Rory Gilmore. She has more pop culture references in her head than the Internet. Also, she's really smart. I could borrow her books. She's got great clothes. We could share. I could also be friends with her mom. And have movie nights with them where I gorge myself on slim jims and red vines.

5.
Chuck Bartowsky. He could fix my computer and teach me kung fu. Also, he is very attractive. And, we could watch Star Wars together. With R2D2. Perfect.

4.
Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster. I don't even have to worry about assimilating into their lives. I already use their catch phrases. Whaaaat? Also, it would be amazing to get to be part of Psych. I could be their secretary. I swear, I would be better than Ken, even if I don't know 5 Mandarin words.

3.
Veronica Mars. She is a private eye, solves ongoing murder mysteries about her best friends, is the photographer for her school newspaper, and still has time for her live friends. She also has a dog named "Back Up." I know I don't like dogs, but when your backup's name is Back Up, that's pretty awesome.

2.
Neville Longbottom. I know. Out of all the Harry Potter characters, most people want to be friends with Ron, Harry, and Hermione. However, when I was 11, I'm pretty sure I'd never get to hang out with them. I wasn't cool enough. That's a hard group to break into. The only reason Ginny got in is because Harry needed a love interest. But, I know that I would be friends with Neville. We could have gone through our awkward stages together. Then, we could have dated. Because I love him.

1.
Viola Hastings. She's hilarious. She's also got chutzpa. Who else, besides Shakespearean characters, would dress up like their brother so they can show the world that they can play soccer like a man? She also could probably teach me how to do one of those flip over the soccer ball moves. She does have a life time of knowledge.

Who does that? what kind of person (or bread maker) acts like that?

I bought a new kind of bread this week.
They were out of my favorite kind, so I got the cheapest kind.
Let me tell you why it was the cheapest.
BECAUSE THEY SLICE IT TOO THIN!
You know how for most bread, a serving size is 1 slice?
This bread is 3 slices.
It's so thin that when you put it in the toaster, it comes out curled up.
Because it can't stand up straight. It's too thin.
This is ridiculous.
Don't buy.

The Americas. North, Central, and South.

This canoe took up the ENTIRE room. Can you imagine riding in it? It would be amazing.

I saw moose up close in real life once. It was amazing. Also, all I could think while looking at these was "MOOSEN! the meesen wantin' foods in the woodsen."

These masks reminded me of Psych. When Uncle Jack gives them the masks.

We have one of these at the Tulsa Zoo. Outside the rainforest.

I wish I had this headdress. It would be amazing.

With my by myself

I am currently sans-roommates (As I have never once mentioned my actual address here, and am friends with those who read this blog and know where I live, I trust you guys to not come try to kill and R me in my sleep after learning this information). All of mine moved out and no one moved in.
There are good and bad things about this.

The good:
It is really clean in my apartment. Seriously. Nothing out of place, all the dishes done. Everything.
I can listen to whatever I want, watch whatever I want, make as much noise as I want. Basically I don't have to worry about offending anyone. Even when I don't sleep with pants on (yeah, I said it).

The bad:
Because I don't have much human contact, I've kind of taken to... talking to myself? Not all the time, just every once in a while. Maybe if it were all the time it would make more sense, but since it's not, it's just really awkward.
Also, most of my to-myself-statements end with "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?"
I know, it's weird. I totally would understand if you guys don't want to be my friend anymore. I realize I may have just freaked you all out a lot.

I is for Ichabod.

Today I ate two apples.
(count 'em, 2!)
On both, I twisted the stem while singing the alphabet, you know, to find out the first letter of my future husband's name?
Both times, it came off on "I."
Male names, I thought, that start with I.
Isaac, Irving, Igor, ICHABOD FLETCHMAN! (sticky icky to my boys).

Whaaaaat? (i'm grateful for today)

Last night, I decided that I would be "writing my freaking paper tonight!" That's what I said in my brain.

I got home at 8:00, and was in bed by 12:00.
5 and one quarter pages in less than 4 hours.

Whaaaaaaat?
