My best fictional friends

Not to be one of those kids who can't think of her own ideas, but I found this today, and I thought, I have some best fictional friends. But, not just gal pals. I'm gonna use some of my best dudes too.
So, here we go. My top 10 best fictional friends.

10.
Princess Bubblegum. Who doesn't want to be friends with her? She has tons of cool stuff that will save you, like sweaters and swords. She also lets you play the hero by being constantly kidnapped by the Ice King. Also, she has a rainicorn and is made completely out of bubble gum.

9.
R2D2. One word: Robot. You get to be best friends with a robot. Who always understands you, and you always understand him, even if you don't speak the same language, so that makes you bilingual. And, he can talk to spaceships. Sweet.

8.
Duckie. Because he loves Otis. And he knows how to steal a girl's heart. Even when he knows that she doesn't in fact love him, but a man who doesn't have a name but a cooking appliance. He will still go to the prom with you.

7.
Summer Roberts. She's small and compact, and although she may be capable of a lot of rage, which sometimes causes blackouts, she's hilarious, loyal, and cares about other people. And she cares about the environment, so she would probably make me care more about the environment.

6.
Rory Gilmore. She has more pop culture references in her head than the Internet. Also, she's really smart. I could borrow her books. She's got great clothes. We could share. I could also be friends with her mom. And have movie nights with them where I gorge myself on slim jims and red vines.

5.
Chuck Bartowsky. He could fix my computer and teach me kung fu. Also, he is very attractive. And, we could watch Star Wars together. With R2D2. Perfect.

4.
Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster. I don't even have to worry about assimilating into their lives. I already use their catch phrases. Whaaaat? Also, it would be amazing to get to be part of Psych. I could be their secretary. I swear, I would be better than Ken, even if I don't know 5 Mandarin words.

3.
Veronica Mars. She is a private eye, solves ongoing murder mysteries about her best friends, is the photographer for her school newspaper, and still has time for her live friends. She also has a dog named "Back Up." I know I don't like dogs, but when your backup's name is Back Up, that's pretty awesome.

2.
Neville Longbottom. I know. Out of all the Harry Potter characters, most people want to be friends with Ron, Harry, and Hermione. However, when I was 11, I'm pretty sure I'd never get to hang out with them. I wasn't cool enough. That's a hard group to break into. The only reason Ginny got in is because Harry needed a love interest. But, I know that I would be friends with Neville. We could have gone through our awkward stages together. Then, we could have dated. Because I love him.

1.
Viola Hastings. She's hilarious. She's also got chutzpa. Who else, besides Shakespearean characters, would dress up like their brother so they can show the world that they can play soccer like a man? She also could probably teach me how to do one of those flip over the soccer ball moves. She does have a life time of knowledge.

Where you lead, I will follow.

Would you?

Here's the deal, guys. I've become disenchanted with the look of my blog. The problem is, that I also hate all of the other options on blogger that are available. I would like to change. In fact, I would like to change to a different blogging site. I've seen that tumblr is beautiful. And Wordpress is lovely. It's just going to take a lot of time to switch over. I'm still deciding if I'd like to. I'm just not sure if I can handle more time with the way my blog looks now.

And plus, would you follow me? If I went to a different place?

Labels.

You know how there's the "labels for this post" area, where you put in different things that this post talks about that might link it to other posts? (some of my commonly used ones are Harry Potter, Christian Bale, and Gilmore Girls. Because, I'm awesome. Obviously).
Well, I have a lot. In fact, while I was looking at the list of my posts today, I realized, I have 277 labels. For my 220 posts. 1.25 labels per post (I used a calculator. I can't do that kind of advanced math in my head. jeez). Most have only been used once. That's weird. Why do I feel the need to have so many? I should just have 1 BIG one. Called "label." But Then how would I get you to go back and read my other posts. Maybe with candy.

my story's infinite, like the laundered symphony, it doesn't rest.

ok, i know that the song actually says Longines Symphonette, but i always thought it said laundered.
ps. weird music video. i love They Might Be Giants, but dang.

anyways, i need to do laundry today. badly.
not quite this bad, but still. it's laundry day.

things that freak me out #1

i don't know if i've mentioned this before,
but i was reminded of it while watching gilmore girls.
the one in the first season, where dean kisses rory for the first time.
lorelai invites dean over to watch a movie.
they watch willie wonka and the chocolate factory.
they actually show a clip in the show.
they show a clip of the giant golden eggs.
guess what's carrying it.
a freaking oompa loompa.
i want you to know that you should feel extremely lucky that you get a picture.
why? because this picture freaks me out.
hard core.
i have chills.
it kind of makes me nauseous.
it's about to cause nightmares.
i'm not kidding.
these little devils lived under my bed when i was little. with edward scissorhands.
of course, i later noticed that edward scissorhands was johnny depp, and my fear turned to love,
but the oompa loompas are not johnny depp.
they have orange skin, white eyebrows, and green hair.
they push fat kids through tubes and roll blueberry girls down the hallway.
they terrify me.
even now.
i would appreciate it if this new found knowledge was not used against me.
it usually is. this and my ticklish nature. people like to tickle me and freak me out with the oompa loompa song.
the problem is, unless your name is christian bale, this will probably lead to the end of our friendship.
so don't do it.

sisters do as sisters should

remember that post about dana and bianca?
well, upon reading that post, my sister daisy pointed out that i haven't written anything about her and my sister jeannine.
huh, i thought. that's true.
so here it is.
a post about my sisters.
all three of them.
in all of their glory.

i have amazing sisters.
they are beautiful,
they are funny,
they are strong,
they are crazy,
they are cool.
my family's kind of funny.
my parents had two kids 21 months apart.
then they waited 7 years.
and had two kids 18 months apart.
daisy is the oldest
she's a mother of 5,
she's very verbose and has a beautifully prodigious vocabulary.
she's afraid of whales and slugs.
she is a ridiculously fast reader.
she introduced me to the beauty that is empire records (what's with today today?) and 10 things i hate about you. (and i'm back in the game!)
she understands why i hate hiking the Y.
she knows why i love flight of the concords.
she talks to me on the phone for hours.
she has a really big pretty house.
she doesn't hate me because we put dandelions (which she is allergic to) in her pillow when she was a teenager

jeannine comes second.
she's a mother of 4.
she has an infectious laugh.
she's so artistic and talented that it would make you cry.
she's afraid of kites.
she will talk to me for hours about harry potter and twilight and jane austen and charles dickens and shakespeare.
she shares my love for masterpiece classics.
she introduced me to the cranberries and they might be giants.
she shares my love of gilmore girls and psych and the office and chuck.
she doesn't hate me because i locked her in her room many times when we were younger.

third is kathleen
she is my otro half.
she is the mother of 1.
she is afraid of spiders.
she does my hair, and is dang good at it.
she is just as silly as i am.
she too understands why i love fantasia and snow white.
she gets she's the man and why it's so important in my life.
she shares my love of sumthin' serious (you smell nice)
she used to sing my heart will go on with me for hours on end.
she was also obsessed with jonathan taylor thomas and hanson.

so, basicallly, i have the best, most beautiful, and most amazing sisters ever.
i want to be them when i grow up.

adventure of a lifetime

ok. not of a lifetime. sometimes i speak in overstatements. but here we go.

today, i decided that i needed bangs. i blame it on my current obsession with Zooey Deschanel and my lifetime (since middle school) love of Gilmore Girls (Rory's hair, season 6. look it up. actually, i'll just show you)

so, today, i decided i was in desperate need of bangs. however, i'm poor. i didn't want to spend 15 dollars for someone to cut my bangs. so i called my trusty sister. she's awesome. and i said, can i do it myself? and she said...

... yes!

so i did. it was an adventure. i also promised kathleen that i would show pictures. so, kathleen, here you go. this is my handiwork.

please don't call me at 7:00 in the morning.
