Do you remember those books?

You don't?!

Where have you been living? Under a stupid rock?

Well, if you do remember them, then it's good we're friends.

Even if you didn't read them as avidly as I did.

Even if you didn't read this one 300 times a week.

Even if you didn't play this game every single day of your entire life until you were 12.

Well, I did all those things. I loved those books. And that game.

Today, I learned something very exciting.

They are making a Sweet Valley High movie.

They are also setting it in the 80s. Let the nostalgia begin, guys.

This movie is going to be a huge shout out to my childhood.

It's time to hang out with Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield. It's gonna be amazing.

Music that speaks to me.

I found this band recently. I found them because of this blog. You should go there. Zooey Deschanel is one of the starters of it. It's amazing.

ANYWAYS, I found these. Upon first listening to them, I just thought they were pretty. Then, I realized that at the beginning of some of the songs, they use quotes from great 80s movies. Like Say Anything, 16 Candles, Edward Scissorhands. One's even called JAKE RYAN! It's so fantastic. You should all listen to their music. And watch the videos. Because Summer Camp is really cool.

Yesterday at work, a man came up on my calling list with the last name of Buhler. I can only assume that this would be pronounced "Bueller."
As in Ferris.
I said to the girl sitting next to me that I was sure that growing up, people said his last name many many times. Over and over.
Buhler..Buhler..Buhler.
I would have.
She looked at me like I was crazy. I had to explain to her,
"You know, like Ferris Bueller's day off? Bueller...Bueller...Bueller...?"
She kind of nodded and went, "ooooooh."
Like she didn't really know what I was talking about, but she wanted me to stop talking.
I know she's only 3 years younger than me, but I'm still confused.
How does she not know the most quintessential line and name from any 80s movie?
I just don't understand.

really. probably one of the best 80s movies.
john cusack plays a teenage boy trying to win back his girlfriend.
what's so great though, is that this movie illustrates how every teenager feels.
his mom is crazy
everybody wants to date his girlfriend after they break up
he's the only one who doesn't get math
it's over exaggerated and hilarious and great.

this weekend, i watched better off dead, and was reminded that i love the song from the dance scene.

and, after years of trying to find it, i finally did.
it's on my ipod, and i've been listening to it for 2 days straight.
oh man.
