Target, you're reading my mind

Or my emails.

Last week I got an idea. A chalkboard clock. It would be amazing. I even sent myself an email about it so I wouldn't forget, see?
Today, I went to Target (I love it there). Guess what they had? ON SALE! A freaking chalkboard clock. So I bought it. You know it, bro.

The sad state in which I'm living.

I officially have 4 alarms to wake me up in the morning.
1. My awesome sound activated block clock goes off at 6:00 am. This tells me that it is time to start thinking about waking up. Considering the fact that I do, actually, need to shower. And, since showering takes at least 10 minutes (if I don't have to shave), and I have to dry my hair and all that jazz, then I had better consider getting out of my bed.
2. My phone starts going off at 6:30. Every 5 minutes, it plays the Harry Potter theme to magically lull me out of bed. This does not work.
3. My computer plays "Good Morning" from Singing in the Rain at 7:00 to get me out of my bed happily. I love Singing in the Rain.
4. In case I get out of bed, turn my computer alarm off, and get back in bed, iTunes will start playing "Wake Me Up Before You Go, Go" at 7:15. By now, I am royally peeved and I actually do get out of bed, drag myself to the shower, and start getting ready for the day.
Unless, of course, I get back in bed and wait for my internal clock to wake me up between 7:43 and 7:57...or 8:16.
Dag, yo.

judge a book by its cover

I feel like I've mentioned before that I have a great love of books. And that this site feeds that love.

Well, so does amazon. I have an ongoing wishlist there of books I wish I had. These are just a few of the items on the list.

i think it's worse than people realize.

obsession #4

remember my clock obsession?
or the
tree one?
or the
typewriter?
i have another one. this one's pretty recent.
it's just come up.
i like do it yourself things.
if i see something awesome, i want it,
however,
i'm poor.
so i need to do it my self.
this little site is feeding my obsession like crazy.
it's amazing.
and this one? this one will come in handy if i ever decide to tie a not.
i made a clock.
well, i haven't finished it yet, but it will look like this one
only, it won't cukoo.
it's gonna be sweet though.

clocky.

ok. so you all know about my obsession with clocks. it's been confessed on here before. today i found one that is amazing. and will be mine. soon.

clocky. the clock so awesome, it has a NAME!

let me tell you about this clock. cause it's cool. so here's how our little buddy clocky works:

first, it has a really annoying alarm. but then it gets better. clocky rolls off the table and runs around the table while yelling at you to get up. he's like a dog. or a really annoying cat that you're allowed to have in a college apartment. the only way to get him to shut up is to get your tush out of bed and get him.

plus, he's just so cute.

isn't it about time?

for an obsession post?

(i feel like there will be many in the future, but this will be the first)

clocks.

don't ask me why. i cannot explain to you my recent and resounding obsession with clocks, but it is there, and it is going strong.

for example, this clock is dubbed as "a clock that hates numbers"

this clock makes me hate numbers. in the best possible way. i want to hold this clock instead of a bouquet when married, in fact, i'll just marry this clock. (too bad it's a whopping $1600. memo to my millionaire friends, this would be a wonderful birthday present)

i'm pretty sure this next clock could replace my television.

i would just sit there and watch the ball go around and around. because it's mesmerizing. and hypnotizing.

i don't think there are words to describe how awesome this timepiece is to me. i will admit it took me at least 10 minutes to figure out how it worked, but once i did, i broke down and cried (figuratively) and lamented the fact that it's not hanging on my wall (literally).

i would put this clock in my kitchen. or in a breakfast nook (if i ever have one of those). it makes me want to drink orange juice. and eat oranges. and bask in the sunlight of a midsummer's day reading Shakespeare (yes, Shakespeare).

maybe this clock just feeds into my morbid side, but i love it. let me explain to you how it works. the left little eye is the hour, while the right is the minute, so these little peepers are currently showing you the time of 03:50

wow. this is a lot of clocks. i understand if you need to take a brief intermission, i won't be offended. but these last 2 are my favorites.

this is a 24 hour clock. i don't know for sure, because it's not big for me either, but i think that those little swirls are the hours of the day. i also think that this clock is not an English one. totally doesn't matter.

and my final and favorite clock of all time (tiny drum-role):

i would give up my big toe, my kneecaps, or my belly button to own this clock. usually i am not a fan of the cuckoo clock, but somehow this little beauty stole my heart and left it broken with it's $360 price tag.
