Crush Worthy

Guys. I have a new crush. Like, seriously. Huge.
It's not a boy. It's not even a person. It's not even a cartoon character (don't pretend to judge me. Everybody had a crush on Aladdin)

No, no. My crush is not on a living being. My crush is on a company. I have a company crush. On an office supply company.

Yes, I did say office supplies. Why? Because I love them. I love pens and pencils and notebooks and clipboards and chalkboards and everything else like that. I fantasize about organizing and designing work spaces. And I found a company that loves office supplies as much as I do.

The thing is, this company, they do more than make office supplies, they, to use their words, make work happy. They really really do. I want everything I own to be from poppin.

Plus, I bought something from them once, and the box it came in made it worth buying.
I will now share with you some of my favorite things they show.

Plus! they have a blog. It's amazing.

My room smells like Anthropology

Alternate title for this post: How you know when your life is happy.

Seriously. I love it.

Target, you're reading my mind

Or my emails.

Last week I got an idea. A chalkboard clock. It would be amazing. I even sent myself an email about it so I wouldn't forget, see?
Today, I went to Target (I love it there). Guess what they had? ON SALE! A freaking chalkboard clock. So I bought it. You know it, bro.

The Projects

No, this is not a post about how my service in the projects of the inner city and all of the amazing work that I did. (Although, perhaps then you would be so much more impressed with me).

No. This post is about projects that I finished in the last couple of weeks.

Here's the deal:
I'm really good at finding and starting projects. Buuuut not so good at finishing them.
However, in the last couple of weeks, I have been really efficient. And I thought I'd share them with you. So here we go!

These are my New Years Resolutions. I have not started on most of these, but writing things down is the first step, right?

These are the Valentines I made this year, or a third of them. I made 12. They ended up so cool that I framed 4 of them. Man, I love Harry Potter.

This is the map that I made. I saw the idea on a vinyl letter wall that somebody had done. It was totally awesome, so I did it, too. Mine's just way smaller.

This is my paint chip wall art. Seriously. Paint chips. They're free! This one may change. We'll see.
So, there you have it. I'm just really excited about these. So, I thought I'd gloat about my massive amounts of creativity and talent/being able to tweak other peoples' projects.

TGIF

Today, I have many thoughts. (and in my head I am writing this in the accent of an aged Cuban Man)

I have re-discovered my love of the Tulsa City County Library this week. I had, for a while, been distancing myself from this beloved place. We were best friends all growing up. Our relationship was slightly creepy. I may have even mentioned how much I love the library here before. However, we had a falling out, due to the fact that they told me that I had kept the HP CDs for too long, and I owed them upwards of 25 dollars. So, we haven't had any contact for several months. It's been very difficult. Yesterday, however, I decided to be the bigger person. I decided to pay my fine, in an attempt to not let the library know how much it had hurt me. Then, I stepped up to the counter and the wonderful lady there told me that I did not owe them seven billion dollars, but 2. Apparently the fine on books and cds caps out at $2. They just wanted me to give the books back, so they were threatening me. But it's ok. We've resolved our differences, and now we're back to creepy library love.

Speaking of the library. I hate it when the self check out doesn't work. Not that I'm checking out anything naughty or crazy town. I just don't like it when people are all up in my bidness. Don't dangle self reliance in front of me and then snatch it away on the most juvenile book that I'm checking out. Maybe I'm taking back my creepy library love. (It's alright. Our love is volatile).

I'm buying this clock for my desk. It's gonna be AMAZING.

This picture made me laugh for about 10 minutes straight. Which made me look like a lunatic. Good thing there's no one around to see it. Just making me look more crazy. It is a vicious cycle.
They're having a fire! (sale)

I think it's weird when people lick their fingers to turn pages on books. Who decided that that was a good idea? To spread their saliva all over every page of every piece of reading material? And when do you decide to do that? At what point in your life do you say I will now start licking myself in order to read? Crazies.

I miss TGIF. Remember when you got to sit around on Friday nights and watch Boy Meets World and Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Step by Step? They should totally bring that back. But not with new dumb shows. Just bring back the originals. It's okay if they're re-runs. We freaking love them.

I wish I had access to a letterpress machine so I could make sweet business cards. I love letterpress.

This is why I'd be perfectly alright with my future kids' first words being Paul McCartney.

honestly, this made me tear up a little bit.
And this is why I will MAKE IT HAPPEN!
