HE'S ALIVE!!!

My favorite part is when Elliot's older brother jumps and hits his head on the ceiling.

the best tv theme songs of the 90s

I'm on a childhood nostalgia schtick right now.
You are welcome.

The comeback we all wish had stayed gone.

The scrunchie.
Oh, yes, we loved it in 1995.
All of our idols wore it.

Let me tell you, I rocked that scrunchie. Don't even doubt it.
All. The. Time.
However, they had their time.
And that time is over.
A few months ago, I found a scrunchie display in Ulta.
Come on, guys, let's leave that fad in the past. I think it's a little too early to bring back fashion from 15 years ago. Or ever, if it's a scrunchie.
Plus, if we let it get too far, this could be the next comeback, and no one wants that.

Sweet Valley

Do you remember those books?
You don't?!
Where have you been living? Under a stupid rock?
Well, if you do remember them, then it's good we're friends.
Even if you didn't read them as avidly as I did.
Even if you didn't read this one 300 times a week.
Even if you didn't play this game every single day of your entire life until you were 12.
Well, I did all those things. I loved those books. And that game.
Today, I learned something very exciting.
They are also setting it in the 80s. Let the nostalgia begin, guys.
This movie is going to be a huge shout out to my childhood.
It's time to hang out with Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield. It's gonna be amazing.

Music that speaks to me.

I found this band recently. I found them because of this blog. You should go there. Zooey Deschanel is one of the starters of it. It's amazing.
ANYWAYS, I found these. Upon first listening to them, I just thought they were pretty. Then, I realized that at the beginning of some of the songs, they use quotes from great 80s movies. Like Say Anything, 16 Candles, Edward Scissorhands. One's even called JAKE RYAN! It's so fantastic. You should all listen to their music. And watch the videos. Because Summer Camp is really cool.

Celebrity Sightings

Ok, no. I did not actually see these people. I only actually saw their look alikes. Levar was playing chess, Elmer was walking down the road, and Walter and Christian were riding the subway.
It was actually pretty awesome, because, how many other people can say that they saw Christian Bale on the subway? With a skeezy mullet?

Force Field

Let me let you in on a little secret: sometimes, riding the subway sucks.
It gets stuck on the tracks, 59th street station smells really funky, and people fight sometimes.
For the most part, though, it's the fact that, when I'm riding the subway, it is very crowded.
Because of rush hour and stuff.
This means that any personal space issues you may have get to go completely away. No more boundaries.
When you can smell the guy behind you's bubblegum and sweat, they are too close.
Are you understanding how close we are? It's a lot of touching.
I do have personal space issues, even though I've never actually been violated, I feel like I am a few times a week.
Let me ask you this question: when you are being touched on all sides, so much that you don't have to hold onto the pole,
WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO BE MAKING OUT WITH YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER?
Some of us are really uncomfortable with the amount of touching going on. That coupled with our discomfort with PDA, makes us mentally BEG you to get off at Grand Central. And 59th street. Then we run out on 86th. And we try to gauge our eyes out.
