Be proud

For the first time in...4 years (?) my itunes doesn't have a single "untitled playlist."
(Usually, I have about 15)

Issues

I have to pee,
but we found a cockroach in our bathroom and now I want to spend as little time in there as humanly possible.

we're gonna put that down for the con side of things

I've been mentally making a checklist pros and cons of staying in NY and going back to OK.
I love New York,
but it's expensive.
I love Oklahoma,
but there's not as much of a job opportunity there.
There's a lot of big agencies in New York,
but my family's in Oklahoma.

So, as you can see, I'm torn, and I kind of need to make this decision soonish.

This weekend, I got two new list items on my con of New York.
Rats and cockroaches.
Both of which can be found either in or around my apartment.
The rats are outside (Did you know they can climb walls? Because I did not. That was a horrifying experience).
The cockroaches are in (I don't care how cute they are in Enchanted and Wall-E, they are NOT cute in your living quarters).

I'm just really glad I sleep on the top bunk.

Did you know there are fireflies in New York?

Neither did I, until I was sitting in the park that's about 1/2 a block form my house.
I had fallen asleep while reading, and just barely woken up when I noticed at least 50 little lightning bugs flashing around me.
It felt very summery and homey.
I loved it.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING TOMORROW?!?!

Ok, so nobody really knows, but J.K. is making a big announcement.
I am excited beyond explanation.
Let's be honest, any mention of HP sets me off already.
I saw a trailer for HP7 yesterday and almost fell off of the couch.
When I talk about Harry, my voice gets really high and squeaky.
So, you had better believe that at 7:00 am tomorrow morning, I will be logged into J.K.'s youtube channel to see what exactly this big announcement is.
I'm thuper dooper exthited.

My family reunion is in about a week and a half.

I know that I shouldn't complain. I am in New York, and I am loving it, but I am very jealous of how my whole family gets to get together and see each other.
I do wish I could go. I miss my family immensely, and I didn't get to go last year either, so I wish I could see my cousins and aunts and uncles and grandparents (and my sisters and parents for that matter).

So, I've been a little sad-ish lately. And because of this, there are some things that I should stop doing.

I should stop watching Dawson's Creek. Something about watching eloquent teenagers whine about how bad their lives are inspires a pity party inside of me that makes me want to cry about everything "wrong" in my life. (wrong is in quotation marks because there's really nothing wrong in my life)
I should not watch the "Michael is Leaving" episodes of the Office. It's like losing your best friend.
I should also probably stop whining about what makes me sad. Then I won't be feeling sad.
Also, I should listen to this song more often.
And this one.
And this one.
And especially this one.

Happy Pappy's Day

I would like to take this time to thank a man who has done more for me than any other man in this world.
Sir Thomas O'Dell (although he has never officially received knighthood).
This is my daddy. And I would like to tell him how much I love him. How great he is.
He is the reason I've seen this great country. He's the one who instilled in me a love of music and of Star Wars.
He is a wonderful father and a great man, and I am lucky to have him in my life and as my father.
So, Daddy, I just wanted to tell you how much I love you.
This much:
Happy Father's Day

That's how she knows

Yeah, I went there.

Alice in Wonderland.

New York Shoes.

This post is mostly for Kathleen. I felt like she, especially, would enjoy these shoes.
Some of these pictures are a little hard to see, I did have to take them through a window.

The last of the natural history museum posts. A conglomeration.

There were many quotes in the entrance of the museum by Theodore Roosevelt. I really liked this one.

This little guy may not have been an exhibit, but he was one of my favorite parts, that he was wearing a robot hat on his head. I loved it.

This was in the subway on the way out, spiderman playing a Kenny G song. Oh the joys and glories of New York.

Now what you've all been waiting for: DINOSAURS!

This dinosaur must have inspired the Mystics.

My name is stegosaurus, I'm a funny looking dinosaur, for on my back are many many plates and on my tail there's MORE!

I have a big head, and little arms. I don't think this plan was well thought out, master.
Touch Fossil!

SPACE!

I do not weigh very much on the moon.
Or on mars.
There were little creatures swimming in here. SO COOL!

I'm not entirely sure why they worded it this way. I know they mean Space Theater and Restrooms, but I read SPACE THEATER RESTROOMS! I almost went to find the restrooms to find out what it meant that they had space theaters in them.
I really liked the planets.
