Have you ever noticed that talking elevators have an opinion about which way they go?
If they're ascending, they say "going up" in a happy type voice. With an ascending pitch in their voice. Like they're excited.
If they're descending, they say "going down" depressingly. the voice gets VERY low on the word "down." Like the last thing they want is to go back down to the ground level or lower.
I have to admit, the elevator's opinion always kind of influences my mood.
